Description

Zaha Marsanne is a rare gem in Argentina, a tribute to the Rhône Valley. Marsanne is the white grape behind Hermitage and Saint-Joseph, and it is planted in only a handful of hectares in the entire country.

Grown in high-altitude vineyards in Los Chacayes at 1,100 metres, the cool climate of the Uco Valley gives it a more vibrant and fresh style, balancing the natural richness of the variety with a piercing acidity. The result is a different reading of this classic Rhône grape: round in the mouth, but never heavy.

The grapes are gently pressed on arrival at the winery and ferment with indigenous yeasts in concrete eggs, at controlled temperatures never above 20 °C. The wine then spends nine months in the same concrete eggs, with no oak whatsoever.

Zaha, meaning "heart" in the Huarpe language, embodies the essence of the Mendoza terroir: wines that speak from the heart of the land, where tradition, nature and passion meet in every bottle.
