| DescriptionScore: 100 Robert Parker – 100 James SucklingIt is rare for a wine to receive a perfect score from two of the world’s most respected critics. That is exactly what happened with Gran Enemigo Gualtallary Single Vineyard 2019, awarded 100 points by both Robert Parker and James Suckling. A truly exceptional vintage and a unique opportunity to experience one of Argentina’s most extraordinary wines. “The incredibly subtle, elegant and austere Gran Enemigo Gualtallary Single Vineyard 2019 reminds me of a great vintage of Lafleur, my favorite Bordeaux, as this is one of the finest vintages ever for this single-vineyard Cabernet Franc blended with 15% Malbec. It unfolds very slowly in the glass, revealing layer upon layer of aromas, all with remarkable subtlety. It also brings to mind the fabulous 2013 vintage that I rated 100 points in 2018, and since then there has not been another vintage as perfect. It shows outstanding balance and a silky palate, with refined and elegant tannins and a long, dry finish marked by a chalky, salty sensation rather than sweetness—more about herbs, flowers, and rocks than anything else. A total of 9,000 bottles were produced. Bottled in July 2020.” Technical Sheet
