Description
Oír Ese Río Malbec is a premium, boutique expression of Mendoza Malbec, born from Marcial Sanchez Elia's project to showcase a new and authentic face of Agrelo. Sourced from proprietary vineyards located at 1,100 meters above sea level on stony slopes along a native riverbed, this wine is crafted with meticulous, hands-on care. Co-directed by winemakers Marcial Sanchez Elia and Germán Masera, it is fermented in open barrels using native yeasts and aged in first-use 500-liter barrels, capturing the pure essence and quality of its high-altitude terroir.
"Deep ruby-red in color with vibrant violet reflections, the nose reveals an intense and expressive aromatic profile, offering rich notes of ripe plums, blackberries, and subtle floral hints, beautifully complemented by elegant spices and a touch of vanilla from its new oak aging. On the palate, it delivers great structure and volume, supported by firm yet polished tannins and a refreshing acidity that mirrors its stony origin. Its finish is long, complex, and persistent."
